Top Five Treats Worth Every Calorie

Hey y’all – I’ve gotten some GREAT Top Five Lists from CMF readers and hope to get some more! I thought I’d post an example of what I would put together for a Top Five List. Entries can include descriptions or not, and pictures as well. I could think of a ton and will probably subject you to more in the future, but for now I’ll leave you with this…

My Top Five Treats Worth Every Calorie

1. Brown Sugar Blondies with M&M’s. Use whatever M&M’s strike your fancy or suits the season. So easy Graham makes them with me. So sweet a little goes a long way. Yum.

2. Brown Butter Brownies with Walnuts. Rated Best Brownie Recipe Ever by Bon Appetit magazine, let’s just say… I have to agree. This recipe is so darn good, I no longer feel the need to by brownie mix-in-a-box. And that’s saying a lot!

3. Special Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies. I struggle in the cookie department. They are always too flat, too cakey, too sweet, or not sweet enough. Well, these are just perfect. I searched Pinterest up and down for “the best chocolate chip cookie” recipe and found many. Many involved really ridiculous steps. Steps not worth doing for a cookie. You know where I found this piece of cookie heaven? The back of the bag o’ chips. Yep.

4. Oreo Truffles – Few ingredients and no baking make this a favorite treat in the house. Great for cookie swaps, potlucks, and for general grazing. Another easy treat to make with the kiddo’s and adjust decorations for any season.

5. Rosemary Olive Oil Popcorn. Not in a sweet mood? No problem. This salty and savory snack appeases all! Pop some popcorn in the good ol’ air popper. Toss with extra virgin olive oil, kosher salt, and chopped fresh rosemary. Kids and adults will love it!

I’d run an extra mile every day to eat this stuff! See you on the greenway! 🙂

P.S. Don’t forget… I’m still accepting Top Five “Guest Blog” entries from everyone! Up to five entries per person will be submitted for our Monkey Joe’s Birthday Party giveaway at the Park Rd. Location! Due date for giveaway entries are Friday, January 20th! Send entries or questions to katie.harding@gmail.com.
