Did somebody say KATE SPADE? Chiquita Bow Tie Design Contest and Giveaway!

So let’s be honest, no matter what I say after this, all you are going to hear is this: Charlotte Mom Favorites is GIVING AWAY A FREE KATE SPADE BAG VALUED AT NEARLY $400!

Now, let that sink in. Kate Spade, Kate Spade, Kate Spade… Ok. Moving on…

What do you have to do? It’s actually very simple. We’re asking you to get a *little* creative. I know that you know that I am not a crafty gal. So, I won’t ask too much from you in that department. In fact, all you have to do is a simple project that your three-year-old could even help you with…. Designing a Bow Tie. Simple right?

Chiquita CEO, Fernando Aguirre, is asking for your help to design the Official Chiquita Classic Bowtie. This bad boy is gonna get sold to raise funds for various charitable organizations at the Chiquita Classic Golf Tournament held at The Club at Longview in Weddington, NC.

The winner of the Chiquita Bow Tie Challenge will recieve a $1,000 donation to the Charlotte, NC Charity of their choosing and win four VIP Tickets to the Championship on September 30th. This prize package is valued at $1,500! OMG.

But, as you read before, if you are a Charlotte Mom Favorites reader, you will be entered to win the Kate Spade bag. (The Bow Tie winner will be selected by judges, the Kate Spade bag will be given to a CMF reader who will be chosen by Random.org).

So what do you do???

To get started, you’ll want to get the bow tie template from: http://bit.ly/GDOvSk
Design a (repetitive) pattern for the bowtie using whatever medium you like (crayons, colored pencils, computer software).

Next, you’ll need to use your twitter account to follow @FdoAguirreCEO and then, send the picture VIA TWITTER to: @FdoAguirreCEO & @cltmomfaves, making sure to include the hashtag #ChiquitaBowTie. In the tweet, mention the meaning behind the bow tie.

Not familiar with Twitter? Trust me, a Kate Spade bag is worth figuring it out. But, I can lend a hand. If you’re interested in entering, but don’t have a Twitter account, shoot me an email and I’ll walk you through the steps. You can contact me at: katie.harding@gmail.com

All entries must be received by April 6, 2012 to be eligible for either prize.
For more details about the contest visit here: http://bit.ly/GDwpCf
Official guidelines can be found here: http://bit.ly/GGwJhQ
(Oh, and if you have your little one help with the design, be sure to enter as YOU. You must be over 18 years of age to be eligible for either prize!)

P.S. The pictures of the Kate Spade bag are of my own. I am not giving away mine. So don’t even think about it. You’ll be getting a brand spanking new bag! I would like to point out, however, that the bag does have the Chiquita Mom logo on the back left corner. This way you don’t have to worry about someone else trying to claim your cool bag as their own. Yours will be unique!

GOOD LUCK!
