Art Buzz Kids Camp at Wine & Design, Charlotte
There are not many times when I am blown away by people. Usually, you pay for what you get. And when you get the chance to try something for free… well, I ‘spose you don’t expect too much. Well, color me wrong. Paint me wrong… ’cause Art Buzz Camp at Wine & Design in Dilworth is freakin’ fantastic!!!
I wrote about the kids’ camp earlier this year on my blog and in exchange my son was given the opportunity to go to camp for a week. We just wrapped up his third day of class. On the first day, he exhibited his typical shyness.
Upon picking him up from his third class, he was wiggling and giggling with excitement, telling me how to make beads and asking me to describe what animal he is from “three facts.” “I’ve got four legs, a hippopotamus head, and I’m grey. What am I?” he asked. Um… a hippopotamus? I’m so smart.
You know when it’s a success? When my normally very timid-doesn’t-want-to-get-messy kid comes home covered in paint. Yep, that’s a good sign. Especially since I didn’t have to get out or clean up the mess. One bath and done. Brilliant.
The only bummer? I’m going to be out of town for their last class. But… if you will be in town, you absolutely must get one of the last spots in Art Buzz Kids Camp at Wine & Design. The theme will again be The Amazon, and it’s Monday JULY 23rd through Friday JULY 27th. Pack a lunch and plan on total craftiness for you children ages 4-12 from 9am until 1pm. And for CMF readers… just mention this post for a $50 discount, which means five days of camp for $150.
So let’s break this down: $150 for five days and four hours each day. Friends that is only $7.50 per hour and you get tons of great hand-crafted goodies to decorate your child’s room. I’ve been meaning to give my kid’s room a makeover, now I’ve got a theme…
I think he’s going to be excited to live in his home-made Amazon Jungle.
P.S. If you can’t make it to camp, but want to try out a weekend kids’ class, check out their August calendar. Classes on the 4th and 18th of August are available. The class is generally $25, but once again if you mention this post, you can get a $5 discount per class. Your welcome. 🙂
**I was not asked or compensated to write this additional post. I just thought y’all should know about this!**
