Do you know what my favorite thing about owning a blog is? Writing. I absolutely love sharing a story, relating a parenting disaster, putting together a menu for my readers, and sharing bits and pieces of mom-hood with y’all. It’s a blast. The only downside? There’s a lot of other stuff that goes along with blogging: editing pictures, SEO optimization, social media engagement, etc., etc., etc. Not that I mind any of that stuff, trust me, I know it’s worth it, but when I was on vacation, one thing I promised myself one thing: That I would write more. About write about what I love.
And then, divine intervention: I’m a finalist for a super-fun blogging gig, as a Style Setter for SouthPark Mall. Now, y’all, stop giggling. I know a lot of you see me in my running shorts and sports bra with my hair up and no make up on. That is a regular look for me. And, I know my nanny is getting a good chuckle out of this too. She’s lucky if she gets a glimpse of me not in my pajama pants. But…. when I try, I think I can put a good look together.
Shall I share my credentials? I got Best Style three years in a row in my sorority in college. Yep. Thought that would wow you. So, it was over 10 years ago. Who cares. I could rock an outfit in the late ninety’s.
I’d like to think I know a bit about how to put an outfit together in 2013, too. I read Vogue when I’m getting a Pedicure. I browse Anthropologie after my morning mall walk (stop laughing), and, I get some major style inspiration from Pinterest. You’re impressed, now… aren’t you?
Regardless, you know you’re going to want to pop over and read about how to put together the best look to impress the other mommas in the car pool line, how to add a few accessories from your closet so you don’t look like you’ve escaped mom-prison when you go out for date night. And, I’ve even got a few tips up my sleeve about home decor, basic makeup tips, and making the little dudes and gals shine.
So… if you think I’ve got the stuff to be a Style Setter (and even if you don’t, but just want me to shut up about all of this), mind giving me a vote and sharing the link with your friends to help me out?

I’m really excited to share my experience with fashion as it relates to every woman. Not just the self-proclaimed fashionista, but the ones that need a perk in the wardrobe to feel better about themselves. Thanks for your help!
P.S. I’ve been told the link does not work from mobile devices. :/
Thank you SOOOOOO much,
Katie
