Hungry and Frustrated: Week 2 of Losing 10 Pounds

If you’d like to follow my journey of Losing 10 Pounds from the beginning, start here: https://forksandfolly.com/2013/11/the-day-i-stepped-back-on-the-scale-week-1-of-losing-10-pounds/
week 2

This week was the week I thought I’d starting seeing the numbers on the scale drop.  Alas, that was not the case.

I’ve never really had this particular trouble in the past.  I start working out, cutting back and the pounds go down.  But as you’ll see in the recap of the week below, two weeks in and I have NOTHING to show for it.

fitness week 2

Disappointing, right?  Well, I did have a few missteps this week.  For one, I drank a wee bit more than I had planned.  For two, we went out for a salt fest on Saturday night at the movie theater (btw – I loved Gravity!).  Hence my decision not to step on the scale on Sunday morning.  I was feeling so bloated I couldn’t even get my wedding band off. 🙁

Not one to give up easily, I’m going to keep truckin’: running my miles, squeezing in a strength training when I can and NOT throwing back glasses of vino like nobody’s business.  When it comes down to it, I know my biggest struggle right now is time.  I’d love to add another workout in every day.  But between work and kids, that ain’t gonna happen.  And, when time gets short, I start making easier meals.   Like mac ‘n cheese – twice last week.

So, the scale is probably telling the truth.  And, I’m just gonna have to work harder.

If you’d like to join me and fellow readers in our journey to lose 10 pounds or more, feel free to join the Facebook Group I created for the “cause” here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/552544388158748/.  It’s set as a private group, so simply apply and I’ll get you approved.  Just don’t want the stalkers getting in there to see everyone’s weight loss chats.  My numbers are public, but y’alls don’t have to be!

And, if you think it would be helpful, you can download your own Food and Fitness Journal Printable here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4JhpgIGl5LZYkRFQXIyZTIwQTA/edit?usp=sharing

Starting Weight (Ugh.): 126.2

Started this week at: 125.6

Ended this week at: 126.2

Total Loss – ZERO pounds

The Good: The good was a little hard to find this week.  At least in the numbers.  Holy shit, batman.  You should have seen my face when I go ton the scale on Monday morning.  I almost cried.  All of that work to end up right back where I started?  Well, all is not lost.  I FEEL fitter, I’m running faster, and I’m getting back into my fitness groove.

The Bad:  Booze! Sodium! The scale!  No time!  Yeah, a lot of “Bads” this week for me.

P.S. Because of that whole time issue, this post is going up Wednesday instead of Monday.  But good news folks, I’m finally starting to see that scale go down!!!  Good things come to those that work hard.

Don’t give up – keep up the healthy eating and working out and the pounds-inches come off. Not sure what workout you are doing but I did Focus T-25 this past summer and was in a motivating FB group and I lost several inches – not sure about pounds as I don’t have a scale. I am not affiliated with T-25 but highly recommend it – awesome cardio. I did weekly post on my blog about the workouts in Aug. & Sept. http://www.kimberleeskorner.com/blog if you want to learn more about the workout.

Trying https://www.nothingbuthemp.net/products/lions-mane-mushroom-gummies-with-thc-cbda has been quite the journey. As someone keen on idiot remedies, delving into the epoch of hemp has been eye-opening. From CBD lubricator to hemp seeds and protein capacity, I’ve explored a classification of goods. In defiance of the confusion surrounding hemp, researching and consulting experts organize helped cruise this burgeoning field. Entire, my meet with with hemp has been decided, gift holistic well-being solutions and sustainable choices.
