Three Healthy Snack Recipes with Popchips!
My kids love a snack. Who doesn’t? In fact, I consider myself to be quite the snack aficionado.
I’ve explored the world of potato chips, veggie chips, pita crisps and the like. I’d like to claim I did this for some great reason, but in reality – I’m just a salt fiend. I feel like I’m doing a lot of confessing this week. 🙂
One of the recent additions to our snack rotation are Popchips. They’re a healthier option than a lot of the snacks in the pantry. I could (and do) eat them by the handful bagful. My kids do too. In fact they can hear the crinkle-crinkle of a bag opening all the way from upstairs and they come a-running.
Why don’t they have that kind of hearing when I ask them to put their pj’s on to go to bed?
Popchips really need no sprucing up, I’ve put out the flavored varieties (barbeque potato is a fave) as a snack for dinner guests and the sea salt popchips served with hummus is a crowd favorite.
But, if you are looking for a little spruced up snack – popchips has a few great recipes. One, so tasty that I had to try.
Salty meets sweet in these Caramel Popples! I had planned on making them and letting the kids devour them. But, if I’m to tell the truth… I couldn’t resist them myself! Could you?
Fortunately, I’m not feeling too guilty about it. In fact, I’m feeling sooo not-guilty, I think I’m going to make up some of the Campfire Popwiches for a fun little dessert with movie night this evening. Here are the recipes below. Which one are you most excited to try?
