Cream Cheese Pound Cake with Bacon Sprinkles. BACON SPRINKLES! Breakfast, brunch, dessert? No matter when you enjoy this treat, your holidays will be filled with your favorite things!
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens? No thanks. You know what a few of my favorite things are? Bacon. Cream cheese icing. Pound cake, and dessert for breakfast.
Now, we’re talking. Sounds pretty good right? Well, we’re doing all of that with today’s “recipe.” Admittedly, we’re using the term recipe loosely. Really, we’re taking some pre-packaged awesomeness and making it even better with my favorite things.
Enter our Cream Cheese Pound Cake with Bacon Sprinkles. BACON SPRINKLES, y’all! The base? Marie Callender’s® Pound Cake Loaf. Then, we mix Reddi-Wip® with pre-made cheesecake filling. Finally, it’s topped off with crispy bacon and maple syrup.
I think my favorite things might fast become yours!
Because we’re using delicious pre-packaged foods, this semi-homemade dessert (or shall we say breakfast?) comes together in no time. I like to serve it for our holiday breakfast, but who am I to judge if you want it for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert?
Cream Cheese Pound Cake with Bacon Sprinkles
Cook the Marie Callender’s Pound Cake Loaf according to package directions. Allow to cool at least 30 minutes, then carefully slice in half length-wise. Meanwhile, in a medium skillet brown bacon until crispy. Remove to a paper towel to drain.
In a large mixing bowl, mix the tub of cheesecake filling with approximately 1 cup of Reddi-Wip and 2 Tb. maple syrup. Beat until smooth with a hand mixer.
Spread a good amount of the cream cheese mixture onto the bottom half of the sliced pound cake. Smooth out. Add the top layer of pound cake on top of the filling.
Add another 1 – 1 1/2 cups of Reddi-Wip to the cream cheese mixture. I like it to have a frosting-like texture, a little lighter than the filling. Spread it evenly on top of the pound cake.
Right before serving, sprinkle with bacon and drizzle with additional maple syrup. Oh. My. Goodness!!!!
