If the warmer weather has you craving an outdoor shindig with great food and friends, then we’re in the same boat.  There is nothing better than coming out of winter hibernation to a backyard patio fête with cornhole, the grill ready to go, and a cold beer in hand.

Whenever I have the pleasure of hosting friends over (whether it be for a holiday or just because), we always stock the fridge and cooler with our favorite beers.  But, it’s also fun to have a signature cocktail.

Enter my new favorite beer cocktail, a Spicy Mango Shandy.  A shandy is simply beer mixed a nonalcoholic drink, often lemonade.  The Spicy Mango Shandy is the perfect afternoon sipper, and with fresh mango and jalapeño, adds the perfect ‘je ne sais quoi’ to this classic cocktail.

In my Spicy Mango Shandy, we’re using Sol beer as the base.  Founded in 1899 in Mexico City, Sol is a crisp and refreshing Lager, perfect for enjoying outdoors.

Enjoy it with a slice of lime or whip up a pitcher of our Spicy Mango Shandy recipe for a party your guests will be talking about the rest of the summer!
