It’s three o’clock somewhere!  Making snack time awesome with the new OREO Thins: the crispy new cookie treat from OREO!

I enjoy a crispy cookie.  I don’t think I even knew this about myself until the Infamous Cookie Battle of 2012.  Didn’t hear about it?

It was when my sister (the family baker) and my brother-in-law (who I’m not sure how to describe… eccentric?), competed against each other to make the best batch of chocolate chip cookies.

Infamous Cookie Battle of 2012

My family picked their favorite (not knowing who baked what), and we were all SURE we’d like Angie’s best.  I didn’t think BoBo had it in him to make a frozen pizza yet alone a from-scratch batch of cookies.

Well, color me wrong.  His cookies were fabulous, and crispy.  My sister made a cakey-cookie, which as it turns out, is not a crowd favorite.

With this in mind, while I was at CVS picking up some prescriptions, my sweet-tooth forced me to pick up new OREO Thins: a thinner, crispier, OREO treat.  I mean, I love a crispy cookie.  And I need a little encouragement to get me through my afternoon.

Turns out…. OREO Thins fit the bill.  Available in Golden, Original, and Mint, there’s a flavor for everyone.  I had to get the mint and original… gotta have the chocolate!

Paired with my afternoon coffee, I’m a happy lady.  Is it 3 o’clock yet?  Soon, I’ll be saying it’s 3 o’clock somewhere…. just so it can be treat time!

Oh – and FYI – treat time is away from the computer.  I usually call a girl friend  during this time.   Like the kids, gotta get away from the computers sometime!

A few other ways to score some quiet afternoon time with OREO Thins:

  • Get back to the practice of writing a letter (how old school!)
  • Take a short walk around the ‘hood.
  • Pick up that magazine you’ve been decorating your coffee table with.
  • Color in the fun adult coloring books.
  • Read a cookbook and flag favorite recipes.

Do you have a go-to afternoon pick-me-up?  What gets you through the afternoon?

Haha- I’m a soft, cakey cookie fan, but I do prefer my OREOs thinner and crispier! #client
