Bang Bang Shrimp.  Is it worth all of the hype?  Absolutely.  It’s amazing.  But with a family of five, going out to dinner can be… “challenging.”  Ya know?

So when I have a hankering for fried shrimp with a creamy sweet and spicy sauce, I just make it myself.  And, it’s really darn good on tacos.

The shrimp take the longest to cook in this recipe, so start by cooking a box of frozen popcorn shrimp in the oven or the air fryer (even better!), according to package directions.

Now, it’s time to make this awesome sauce!  In a medium bowl, add greek yogurt, agave nectar, sweet chili sauce, buffalo wing sauce, and salt.  Whisk until smooth and set aside.  Just dip that finger in there and give it a taste first.  🙂

To prep the slaw, mix the dressing ingredients in a large bowl.  Then pour in a bag of 3 color deli cole slaw.  Stir it all together until the slaw is coated and set aside.

If using crispy tacos, you don’t need to do anything to them, but if you’re using soft tacos, warm them up first.  I just do so in a dry non-stick pan over medium high heat, right before assembling.

Once the shrimp is done, it’s time to start putting these tacos together!  To the tortillas, add a layer of slaw, the popcorn shrimp, and a good drizzle of the bang bang sauce.  Then… dig in!

Please update the recipe to include the amount of buffalo hot sauce. It is not listed in the list of ingredients for the Bang Bang sauce.
    Thank you.

It’s the orange hot sauce often used to make buffalo wings – I use Texas Pete and sometimes Frank’s, but there are plenty of others, too.
