Does this Bring me Joy? YES!

Take the Kon Mari method out of the closet and in to your life.  Here’s hoping when you ask yourself, “Does this bring me joy?” your answer is YES!

It’s been a few years since my first introduction to the Kon Mari method.  For those of you that haven’t had the opportunity to read the book, The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up,” I highly recommend it.

Take the Kon Mari method out of the closet and in to your life.  Here's hoping when you ask yourself, "Does this bring me joy?" your answer is YES!

The basic gist?  If you own something, it needs to bring your joy.  After I read the book cover to cover, I went through EVERYTHING I owned, tossing, donating and purging dozens of bags and boxes full of non-joy.  It was thoroughly refreshing.

The author claims that if you adopt the Kon Mari lifestyle you won’t relapse, but I have to admit I have slipped.  Clutter is a big part of my life.

Which is why…. drumroll… in 2018 I aim to ask myself this one question everyday: Does this bring me joy? I’m hoping that 2018 will be my opportunity to answer YES!

What does this mean to me?

Beyond doing another purge (I can just see my husband rolling his eyes), I mean to say YES to mixing up my workouts.  YES to feeling good about my body.  YES to making smart food choices.  YES to cuddling up with my kids at bedtime and reading stories together.

Feeling good about my Hearty Lentil Vegetable Soup.

You’ll be seeing my moments of YES a lot on my blog in 2018.  I hope they bring you joy, too.

Just Saying YES!

Kicking off my first YES moment? Well Yes!® Soup.  I’ve been a fan of Well Yes!® soups for a time now.  I luh-ove all of their vegetarian options, and being that I aim to increase my family’s veggie-intake in 2018, Well Yes! soups will definitely play a role.
