I’ve been holding on to a little secret, and although we aren’t revealing ALL of the details yet, I did want to share… our family is growing.  Again!  Next week we’ll be inviting an exchange student into our family, and she’ll be staying with us for a year.  A year!  We are ALL so excited!

Not only will we be adding a sixth member to our crew, but IT’S A GIRL!  I mean, how long have I been waiting to say that?

Needless to say, I’ve been working on personalizing the guest room for her.  And since she shared that her favorite color is pink?  Well, it’s gonna be pink.

She’ll be in high school, and we’ve been making sure she has a quiet space for homework and is stocked with age-appropriate school supplies.  (Too bad, because I have enough crayons for a small army.)

I hope she loves her new room – I’ll do a reveal soon as not all of the furniture has arrived.  In the meantime… I’m loving these DIY Geometric Mason Jars for her school supplies.

Do you have a favorite pen?  I do… FriXion® Pens by Pilot Pen.  It’s all about the feel.  This pen has such smooth writing gel – and they are erasable!!!  So that’s what I’m stocking her desk up with.  And to keep them organized, I’ve crafted these super cute jars.

Ready to get crafting?  Select small-sized simple stickers (like the honeycomb and hearts above) and decorate your jars, being sure to leave both covered and uncovered space in a fun patter.  Be sure the stickers are stuck on well, and don’t have any open gaps along the edges.

Coat the jar and stickers with paint.  You can use acrylic or spray paint. You’ll have to use several coats if you select acrylic paint.

Allow the paint to dry completely, then carefully pull off the stickers.
