Y’all know I’m not that great at baking, right? On MomFavorites.com, I leave that to the pros, Michele Joyce, our {Not So} Easy Bake Oven columnist and to Chemeeka Sparks our Momma Can Cook columnist. I’ve dabbled in baking (like mixing water into a boxed cake mix) and have tried baking other treats from scratch, but generally get frustrated with the process (precision has never been my thing) and underwhelmed with the results.
But, I’m always amazed but what others can do. Michele’s Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies and Chemeeka’s Apple Cider Glazed Doughnut recipe make me think I should put on an apron and bust out the measuring cups. And then I turn on my television and am blown away on a whole ‘nother level. Have you ever seen what Buddy Valastro, the star of TLC’s Cake Boss, can do with flour sugar and a commercial sized mixer? Freaking amazing.
Which is why I’m super excited to be attending Buddy Valastro Live! The Cake Boss, Homemade for the Holidays at Oven’s Auditorium on December 12th. Demonstrating the techniques that have made him the most famous cake artist in the country, Buddy will share behind-the-scene stories from his hit TV show, answer audience questions, and will bring several lucky members of the audience up on stage for cupcake and cake decorating.
I plan to hide when they pull audience members up to stage. I just wanna watch and maybe catch a crumb or two, if Buddy happens to have pity on the drooling girl in the audience. 🙂 Wanna join me? I’ve got a Promo Code you’ll want to use. Tickets start at $35.75, but using the code BOSS, you can get $5 off per ticket (excluding VIP tix).
To purchase your tickets with the promo code, BOSS, visit: http://www.ovensauditorium.com/default.asp?ovens=40&objId=745
Or to purchase VIP tickets (no promo code available), which includes a post show meet & Greet with Buddy Valastro, visit: http://cakeboss.ticketmob.com/
Hope to see you there!
