You know what “holiday” is deceptively challenging? Mother’s Day! Every mom feels like it should be their day of rest. A day where everyone is grateful for them. A day they should be able to be lauded for their efforts of birthing babies, raising children, and folding umpteen loads of laundry.
But despite the appearance of this mom-umental day, meals still need to be fixed. Grandmas need to be pampered. The kids still need and want your attention. Oh, and the laundry doesn’t stop because it’s Mother’s Day either.
Here’s what I’m going to do to manage the madness so that I can have a relaxing Mother’s Day: I’m going to send out Mother’s Day cards way in advance. I’m going to have the boys make cute little hand-print gifts for my mom to give to her on Mother’s Day. And, I’m going to make this Easter Dinner Menu that I didn’t make this Easter, because we were with relatives. It’s full of recipes that can be made in advance.
On the day of Mother’s Day, here’s my agenda: Wake up to coffee in bed (hint, hint Jonnie). Go on a long run. Prep last minute menu items. Enjoy the rest of the day sipping on mimosas and eating on the patio with my mother, my sister and my family. Ahhh….
Wanna be super-duper prepared this year, like I aim to be? No worries….. Hallmark to the rescue. They are giving one lucky Mom Favorites reader this package full of Mother’s Day cards and more including:
- Magic Prints: Each Magic Prints frame comes with a mess-free Crayola® Magic Mitt ink applicator. When a child places his or her hand on the paper, their handprint appears, revealing a colorful pattern or message within the handprint. It’s a wonderful way for kids to add a personal touch to their gift for Mom and create a lasting show of appreciation that can be framed and kept as a keepsake. See Magic Prints in action here.
- Magic Prints Greetings: Like the Magic Prints frames, Magic Prints greetings allow kids to add a colorful personal touch to these cards which can be sent to a favorite aunt or mother figure across town or across the miles! Some Magic Prints greetings even allow a child to record their voice directly into the card!
- Mother’s Day Signature Collection Greetings: Hallmark’s Signature Collection features sophisticated and stylish greetings handcrafted with beautiful papers, rich textures and appealing embellishments. A great way to honor a special mom in style!
- Premium Classic Greetings: These greetings feature eye-catching premium designs with sparkle, shine, laser-cut patterns and bold colors that express messages of love and appreciation.
- Simply Motherhood Greetings: Hallmark’s new Simply Motherhood cards feature fresh photography paired with simply stated, warm messages to celebrate moms.
