Bring on spring! To celebrate make this super delicious Spring Candy Bark, perfect for Easter dessert, then make these adorable DIY Spring Critter Candy Mason Jars!
It’s here. Finally. Spring. The days are warmer, the evenings are brighter. It’s just so… perfect.
Seriously, I get really darn giddy about spring. What’s better than flowers blooming and perfect running weather? Oh, and chocolate everything? Bring on the chocolate bunnies, the Easter baskets, the egg hunts. I’m ready. I was born ready.
To celebrate all things spring, I’ve been cooking. (I know you’re shocked.) First up on the list – something totally drool-worthy…. Spring Candy Bark, which is perfect for entertaining, filling an Easter Basket, or for using up candy in bulk.
This treat just screams spring with the bright colors from M&M’s® Pastel candies that I found at Sam’s Club.
To assemble this amazing treat, simply melt white and milk chocolate, separately, according to package directions. I purchased melting chocolates to make things easy on myself.
Once melted, pour out one chocolate onto parchment paper, then drizzle the other color on top. Using a knife, make fun swirly patterns.
While still warm, add your favorite candies. I used M&M’s® Pastel candies along with MARS Spring Minis broken up into chunks.
Since the M&M’s® Pastel candies from Sam’s Club come in whopping 52 ounce bags, I had plenty leftover after making my Spring Candy Bark to make some little treats to drop off with the neighbs.
These are soooooo easy to make, but aren’t they cute?
I had little helpers assist with the color sorting. Don’t worry…. they got “paid.” 😉
Next, I simply filled up medium sized mason jars with yellow and pink/purple candies. To make the mason jars look like spring critters, I cut out noses from colored labels.
Then, add rabbit whiskers, eyes, bird feet and the like with either a black sharpie or a black dry-erase marker. If you use the dry erase marker, your gift recipient can use the mason jar for other purposes once they enjoy their treat. You could also make cute blue birds with the blue M&M’s® Pastel candies.
Are you ready to celebrate spring? What spring treats will you be whipping up this season?
What a fun way to share the love with neighbors at Easter! #client
