I’ve had a 6-pack of Zima® on my counter for a few days now. I cannot tell you how many people commented… “I didn’t know they still made that!”, “That was my favorite drink back in the day!”, and “Where can I get Zima®? I’d love to try it again!”
Well, guess what guys! It’s baaaaaack. But just for a short while.
I remember fondly many evenings in my twenties sitting out by the lake with a Zima® in hand. Ahhh… the good ole’ days back when my biggest problem was what bar to go to that night!
Things have changed a bit since then (hello husband and three kids), but guess what? Zima® still makes me smile. And, what better way than to bring some Zima® into one of my favorite cocktails – the Paloma.
Zima®, with a refreshing citrus flavor, is the perfect beverage for celebrating summer. Combine it with grapefruit juice and a splash of tequila? Let’s get this party started.
Sparkling Zima® Paloma Cocktail
This recipe makes a single drink, but feel free to multiply it as needed for a pitcher. My only warning, is that you don’t want it to sit too long, as the bubbles will go flat!
Fill each glass with ice, then pour over the tequila, and grapefruit. Top with Zima® and garnish with grapefruit slices and mint.
Enjoy with your favorite 90’s music for a full experience. 🙂

- 1 bottle of Zima®
- 2 ounces tequila
- 1/3 cup grapefruit juice
- Garnish: Sliced grapefruit and fresh mint sprigs
