What do you do when life gives you watermelons?  Make margaritas.

Everything watermelon sounds delicious this time of year.  Put it in a salad, grill it, serve it straight up.  Give me a plain ol’ slice.  But most especially mix it with tequilla!

Those that know me know that I’m allergic to watermelon.  Not deathly allergic.  It “just” makes my throat and ears get all itchy; I’ve been known to eat it anyways.  That is, when I’m feeling frisky. 😉

It was when I saw a watermelon sitting on the counter next to a bunch of limes that I decided it was time to suck it up and take some Benadryl.  It’s watermelon margarita time.

Remove the rind from one personal watermelon and cut it into chunks.  Add the chunks to a large blender and puree until smooth.  At this point, you can either use the puree -OR- pour the puree into a fine-mesh sieve and remove the pulp.
