The Mommy Timeout: a Ten Minute Mom Break

Time out for mom?  Yup.  When the kids get out of hand, mom gets them out of her hair.  It’s the ten minute mom break.  Put the kids down for a nap or set them in front of the TV, and make time for YOU with this simple sanity saver.

As a parent, I’m the first to admit… my life on social media can be a bit misleading.  Sure, we all share the moments like these….

When are babies are super sweet and cuddly, and I’m not rocking my double chin… 😉

But in reality, life is more like this:

And this:

Look familiar?  As a mom with three young boys, moments  like these are a dime a dozen.  It’s when naptime happens real fast.  Even if it’s 5:00 and they should be having dinner.

It’s moments like those, when I’ve had it UP. TO. HERE that I take a deep breath, pull out a bottle of nail polish, a satisfying snack, and declare… TEN MINUTES FOR MOM!

Sigh….  My blood pressure is returning to normal.

Have y’all seen the new Philadelphia Cheesecake cups?  Available in four delicious flavors: Cheesecake with Strawberries; Cheesecake with Milk Chocolate Sauce; Cheesecake with Cherries and Cheesecake with Salted Caramel Sauce, you can mix in toppings and stir, or dip with your favorite cookie or cracker.

I love that they are made with simple, real ingredients, including fresh milk, real cream and real fruit, chocolate or caramel topping and contain no artificial flavors or dyes. And I appreciate the pre-portioned cup, which makes it easier for me to enjoy my dessert without overdoing it.  (Be sure to store them in the refrigerator.)

Paint your nails.  Enjoy your treat.  And use my rule… when the nails are dry, mommy can get out of time out.  It’s a perfect ten minute sanity saver!

Philadelphia Cheesecake Cups can be found in the refrigerated dessert section of your local grocery store.  Which Philadelphia Cheesecake Cup flavor will you be trying first?

My kids are 5 years old and 7 years old, and they just love to battle each other constantly. I definitely should put myself in time-out sometimes and just relax! #client
